Let’s end the work week with some CASTING NEWS!
This involves two of our favorite ladies…
SARA JEAN FORD is returning! The fabulous soprano was last with us in December 2011. Since then, she made a splash when she joined the starry cast of the hit Broadway revival of “How to Succeed…” as Smitty. In even bigger news, she and her equally talented husband (and current “Jersey Boys” star) Drew Gehling welcomed a beautiful baby daughter! We’re excited to have her coming home to The Majestic. She begins as the Christine Alternate the week of March 10.
A happy Welcome Back also means a teary goodbye. And we’re sad to sing Happy Trails to the one and only MARNI RAAB. One of our favorite leading ladies, she leaves the Broadway cast after over 800 performances with the production! That makes her the 4th longest-running Christine in NY history! (And that doesn’t even include her hundreds of performances touring with the show across the country and around the world.) But it’s not all tears, as Marni has a lot of amazing projects up her sleeve. Not only will she continue performing her one-woman show “Wishes Are Children,” but behind the scenes, she’s the Literary Manager of the NY theater company Midtown Direct! Her final performances are next Monday, March 3 and Thursday, March 6.
And continuing as the principal Christine is the wonderful MARY MICHAEL PATTERSON.
Welcome back, Sara and all our love, Marni! (x)
